Vegan soiety certification - Moonvalley got certified !

Certified by The Vegan Society

We’re proud to share a milestone we’ve been working towards: our products are now Certified by The Vegan Society. For us, this isn’t just a label - it’s a clear, independent standard that reflects how we want to build Moonvalley: inclusive, transparent, and responsible.

What Vegan Society certification means for us

We often get questions about the Vegan Society certification meaning - what does it actually guarantee? In simple terms, it means our products meet The Vegan Society’s standards for the Vegan Trademark, so you can recognise them as vegan certified at a glance.

If you’d like to read more about what the Vegan Trademark means in practice, The Vegan Society explains it here:

The Vegan Society and why the certification matters

The Vegan Society was founded in 1944 and is widely recognised as the world’s oldest vegan organisation. Over time, they created what’s now known as the Vegan Trademark -a trusted mark that helps consumers identify products that meet a defined vegan standard.

The aim of the certification is to remove uncertainty, so consumers don’t have to rely on vague “plant-based” claims or spend time decoding every ingredient list.

That’s also why people search for things like Vegan Society certification requirements, Vegan Society certification criteria, or “Vegan Society approved” - they want clarity and a standard they can trust. That focus on clarity also shows up in how we formulate our products - we use pea protein as our plant-based protein source.

A milestone in our organic sustainability journey

We see this certification as an important step in our broader commitment to organic sustainability. For us, sustainability isn’t one single action - it’s the everyday decisions we make about ingredients, packaging, and the impact our products have.

If you’d like to read more about how we think about ingredients, packaging and sourcing, you can find it here: Organic Sustainability.

Here are a few examples of what that looks like for us:

  • Organic ingredients: We use organic ingredients to support farming practices that are better for the long-term health of soils and ecosystems.
  • Packaging choices: We work to reduce impact where possible - such as using paper packaging on our Chocolate-Dipped Protein Bars (protein bars).
  • Fairer supply chains: When possible, we source ingredients from Fair Trade certified suppliers to support better conditions for farmers and workers.

Thank you

We’re proud of this step - and grateful to everyone who’s supported Moonvalley along the way.

If you’ve been looking for Vegan Society certification you can trust, we hope this makes your choices simpler and more transparent.
