Meet our ambassadors

We are proud to have some of the best runners out there who share the passion of trails, mountains and real energy with us.

We asked them about their background and got to hear about their love for the sport.

Let us present our ambassadors.

Since I was very young I have always been in love with sports. You can almost say that I was born with skis on my feet! I also did other sports, like football, Ice hockey, and track/field. But Nordic Skiing was what I liked the most. So, when I was 16 I moved to Åre for the Ski Gymnasium. My progress was good, as I got better for each year and did my first World Cup in Oslo Holmenkollen in 2018. In the summer, I loved to run in the mountains and it was my favorite kind of training for the winter. So in 2016, I did my first Skyrace in Limone Sul Garda and I absolutely loved it and wanted to do more. Now I’m a part of the Salomon International Team, I won my first Skyrace in Livigno 2018 and finished 2nd in the overall Skyrunning World Series in 2018. I want to continue to compete in both sports and see how good I can be!

I like skiing and trail running because both sports are really hard but beautiful in their own way. I really love the simplicity of running. Some of the races can be so spectacular that it just takes my breath away. I also really like the trail running community, as it has given me so much! But there is something special about nordic skiing! To go out in the cold, on a new track, just focusing on the technique and feeling like I am flying through the forest is just the best feeling.

A good tip is to practice with the nutrition that you plan to use during race. I always have sports drink during my intervals and other high intensity sessions so that I get used to what I’m going to consume during races. During competitions I try to aim for 70-80g carbohydrates/hour, but everyone is different and you have to find out what works best for you!

Besides running and skiing, I really like to take photos and play guitar. In the future, I would like to work as a designer or architect.

I have always enjoyed to be outdoors. When I was a small kid we tested different sport all the time. Skiing, climbing, swimming, kayak and so on. When I was older I played football for some years before I started biathlon at the age of 12 or 13. I did that until I was 20-21. In the beginning of my 20s I stopped sport for some years, before I started up again when I moved to Bergen. There I felt in love with the mountains and running.

This is what I love most about my sport.
I like the combination of being in the mountains and the movement of running.
I feel free when I run. It is a cheap sport, that almost everyone can do. And we can run everywhere.

I did lots of sports in my childhood. My parents showed me everything I wanted. At the age of 13 I ran my first half marathon. Later I did triathlon. When I was 18 I found my passion for skimo and for mountains. I love to be outside, that’s why I ran trailrunning completitions in summer too.

I love being outside in the mountains and enjoying fresh air. Feeling my body and soul.

I often need some bars during training. I prefer the bars from moonvalley!!

I have a little son and I love to walk with him. I really love to read, but since I am a mom I have no time. Haha. I also love cooking and baking. And I love good coffee.
