Spring is on its Way!
Feb 28, 2025
Hope you’re all doing well! We’ve made it through the harsh winter months, and in Sweden, the period from January through March is known as the “ox-weeks”—a time of relentless hard work, deep winter, no holidays, and long, dark days. I love this ox metaphor and embrace the season of quiet effort. This is the time to put your head down, get work done, eat your veggies, and go to bed early. Just chipping away at your projects so that when spring arrives, you’re ready. It may not be the most cheerful time of year, but I’d choose the humble feeling of contentment over fleeting happiness any day.
But now, spring is finally coming! I’ve completed my first full training block after last summer’s serious bike accident—mostly indoor cycling, Nordic skiing, and easing back into running. Now, I’m ramping things up and heading to Southern Europe for a training camp with my team, CRAFT (Ida is coming too, so we’ll have time to catch up!).
Speaking of Ida, she’s been training on the Canary Islands and capped it off in style by winning the Trans Gran Canaria 85K, a classic race held every February on the island! Our incredible ambassador Henriette Albon also competed in the legendary 120K distance—and she won! Safe to say, Moonvalley was on fire in the Canaries last month!
Back home in Moonvalley, Emelie is preparing to welcome a baby, but she’s still going strong—power hiking vertical climbs and keeping busy. If you’re curious about staying strong and healthy during pregnancy while being kind to your body, check out Emelie’s Instagram for some great insights!
Wishing you all a strong and steady transition into spring!
