Emelie Forsberg: Spring blossoms are here and I'm ready to run!

Emelie writing - hej hej! 👋🏼

Here in Moonvalley, Romsdal the spring is often the most magical time of the year.

It brings green buds, white mountains, and green by the fjord. The snow that is melting from the mountains creating the biggest cascades, and if we are lucky we get to see whales in the fjord!

In the garden the flowers start to bloom, apple blossoms, and jasmine makes the most wonderful scent in the air.

For me, the month of May is a lot about balancing the training with farming tasks. I need and want to prioritize training, as that is what I do for a living. However, when the sheep fence needs to be repaired, the veggies replanted, all the flowers and perennials to be taken care of, it is difficult to rest. But I am trying my best!

At the moment I am preparing for the European Off-Road Running Championship in Annecy, France where I will be running the classic distance - 16 km up and down with 1,000 meters of climbing.

After a winter and spring with very little intensity sessions, I have now started to do more of that, and I love it! To finish a workout with burning lungs and legs is a good one!

Ida has been traveling to the Canary Islands preparing for her long races this summer! First up was Transvulcania, and that was a blast, she came second!

Mimmi has been cycling a lot, rehabbing and strengthening her knee to run this summer, and the new addition to her family is the cutest little puppy ever- Bruno!

Now it´s time for me to meet up and do a little harder session together.

Enjoy this beautiful time and take care of yourself!

 xx, Emelie
