Meet Emelie: Mother, Athlete & Entrepreneur

And a small farmer 😀

Emelie Forsberg talks about her path into ski mountaineering, why nature is her compass, and how she balances elite sport with motherhood and entrepreneurship. The interview was filmed by SKITRAB and is shared here with permission. It’s a candid look at freedom, focus, and finding a rhythm that works.

From Nordic tracks to ski mountaineering

Emelie started skiing as a child in northern Scandinavia. After years of cross-country and later telemark, she stepped into her first pair of SKITRAB skis - and found exactly what she loved: moving light and fast in winter.

“In winter you can move so lightly in the mountains. When the conditions and knowledge are there, you can go almost anywhere - and the descent is pure freedom.”

Home training on Skarven

In the film, Emelie takes us to one of her most-visited summits, Skarven, with views down to the valley she calls home. The proximity makes training simple and honest: out the door, up the mountain, back in time for family life.

Nature as her compass

She’s always been drawn to the outdoors. Studies in sustainability and biology came naturally, and so did the idea that pushing your limits as an athlete can go hand in hand with taking care of the places you move through.
